Labor Studies at Indiana University, Bloomington, is located in the Poplars Building at the intersection of Seventh Street and Dunn Avenue on the western-most edge of the campus. Our offices are on the 6th Floor, and our main command center, room 633, is ably staffed by Sarah Bailey. Professors Lynn Duggan and Joseph Varga are also located on the 6th floor, in rooms 635 and 631 respectively. Feel free to stop by and visit.
In addition to teaching and other academic activities, IUB Labor Studies Program is an active participant in the vibrant community life of both the Bloomington campus and our wonderful city. Our small but potent faculty works on the Anti-Sweatshop campaigns, organizes lunch talks and teach-ins on relevant domestic and international topics, and promotes the cause of social justice and workers’ rights through collaboration with community activist organizations.
We look forward to expanding in the future, and to remaining an active and vital part of the academic and activist community.
